Creating has always been my passion. I started art school, crafting, and sewing at a very young age.

As a child, I hand-sewed clothes for my dolls and stuffed animals. Then, I learned how to use a sewing machine and read patterns.

My favorite things to make are skirts, tops, and jackets. I like to mix and match separates, especially when traveling.

I started this blog as a space to share my sewing journey, creations, stories, and ideas. It’s also a place to inspire you, no matter your level.

About My Sewing Blog

1. I write my own content.

I’ve written everything from news stories to poetry. I earned my B.A. in Journalism and worked in media and advertising. After that, I got my M.Ed. I write my own content in my own voice, and always will. These are my sewing and crafting experiences. I spend hours on posts and put a lot of thought behind my content.

2. I actually sew and create.

You might wonder why I need to reiterate this. Well, we live in a world where anyone can start a DIY or hobby blog and fill it with regurgitated generic information without any hands-on experience. I’ve been sewing for years and even had a professional sewing job. I share my experiences in hopes to provide value for those seeking it.

3. I take my own pictures.

All pictures and videos you find on my blog and social media are taken by me, or by a photographer who took photos of me. I do not use stock, AI images, or take images from other people’s social media accounts. If you come across a blog where there are no pictures of authentic creations, I’d go somewhere else. There are plenty of people in the DIY and creator space who actually do the thing.

4. I own all my content.

You’ll find my content on my blog and social media accounts. I am the creator and sole copyright owner of my original work. I work hard to make all my content and provide it for your personal use only. That means you may not copy or reuse any of my content in any form without my written permission. If you want to share my materials, please link back to my website or social media account.
